제 18 호 “Satan Alliance” Planned by Team '666' Majoring in Arts and Cultural Management at Sangmyung University
Kicker: SM NEWS “Satan Alliance” Planned by Team '666' Majoring in Arts and Cultural Management at Sangmyung University By Yun-Seo Jung, Reporter yysj1230@naver.com The performance production team ‘666,’ composed of students majoring in arts and cultural management at Sangmyung University, produced a play called “Satan Alliance.” Before explaining the play of Satan Alliance, to briefly introduce the major of Arts and Cultural Management. The Arts and Cultural Management major at Sangmyung University aims to become a center for fostering future culture and arts CEOs and future culture and arts planners who will lead the Korean art world in the era of culture and arts, which is developing into a creative industry as a future growth engine. The major consists of theoretical classes on cultural arts management and practical classes of performances based on the theories. Team 666 was also created through a performance planning practice. The Satan Alliance, a theater production by Team '666', was the winner of the Hankook Ilbo 30th annual spring literary contest. The play was performed at the Cheonan Art Center Small Theater for two days from May 25th to 26th. There are three main characters: Ursula, a nun, Salome, who is serving life imprisonment for murder, and John, a prison officer. The plot of Satan Alliance is as follows: Ursula, an old nun who has been in charge of prisoners' penitence for many years, meets Salome, a woman who has been in prison for more than a decade for burning her husband to death, and tries to make her repent. But in fact, Ursula also wanted to kill her husband, and she asked Salome to kill her husband, and they formed an alliance. The Intention of the Satan Alliance According to Team 666, the planning intentions of the Satan Alliance are as follows: “This work has a little religious color and a prison background, but behind it is the narrative of two women who are more humane and realistic than anyone else. Salome, who burned her husband to death, and Ursula, who wants to kill her former husband. According to John, a woman who kills her husband will never be saved or go to heaven as she desperately wants. There is nothing before them but the hell that awaits the sinners who killed their husbands. Nevertheless, they have chosen solidarity and share the path to hell. Generally speaking, heaven is good and hell is evil. However, can it be said that the place where wives, who are freed from the numerous things that have plagued them, dare to be called a hell filled with evil. The development of the drama, in which the absolute good and evil we take for granted are separated and reversed, makes the viewer think a lot.” Team '666' meaning: The number '666' is said to be the number of the beast, or Satan. In a world where there is no absolute good or evil, Salome's allegiance to Satan leads Ursula to true freedom; team ‘666’ also means moving away from natural and absolute things and toward a new place. If you are interested in watching performances after reading this article, it would be great to enjoy a wider and more diverse culture by paying attention to future performances that various students at Sangmyung University plan and perform. 제 17 호 A Paper by a Research Team of Undergraduate Students was Published in an International Academic Journal
Kicker: SM NEWS (EVENT) A Paper by a Research Team of Undergraduate Students Majoring in Space Design was Published in an International Academic Journal By Seo-Won Hong, Reporter eunoia1025@naver.com A paper “Development of a Solar Tracking-Based Movable Louver System to Save Lighting Energy and Create a Compatible Light Environment” by a research team of undergraduate students majoring in space design at Sangmyung Universitywas published in the SCIE International Academic Journal. Jung Soo-yeon, 4th grade at Sangmyung University’s Department of Space Design, and Han So-won, 3rd grade at Sangmyung University’s Department of Space Design, participated as the first and second authors in the paper “Development of a Solar Tracking-Based Movable Louver System to Save Lighting Energy and Create a Compatible Light Environment” published in SCIE International Academic Journal, Building. Sangmyung University’s Department of Space Design was the first indoor design major in Korea in 1988 and is a proud department of Sangmyung University. In this article, I will take a closer look at the SCIE International Academic Journal of the undergraduate research team majoring in space design at Sangmyung University. Also, I will learn more about Sangmyung University's space design major. SCIE stands for SCIENCE CITATION INDEX EXPANDED. The SCIE paper is an overseas journal with high technical value, meaning “Science and Technology Paper Index,” and can be said to be an extension of the renowned journal SCI selected by strict selection criteria among scientific and technology journals. The difference between SCIE and SCI is that SCIE was later created by adding “expanded”' to SCI, but it has been integrated since 2020 and now SCIE and SCIE are the same. Summary of the paper “Development of a Solar Tracking-Based Movable Louver System to Save Lighting Energy and Create a Compatible Light Environment” published in an international academic journal If you look at the summary of the paper 'Development of a Solar Tracking-Based Movable Louver System to Save Lighting Energy and Create a Compatible Light Environment' published in an international academic journal, the paper shows that the research team of undergraduates majoring in space design at Sangmyung University proposed a solar tracking-based mobile louver (STML) system and investigated its efficacy using a full-scale test bed. In addition, the paper contains the contents of developing a full-scale test bed for this purpose. The paper states that the research team of undergraduates majoring in space design at Sangmyung University has estimated indoor uniformity improvement and energy reduction of various types of STML systems, including vertical, horizontal, eggcrate and hybrid. In other words, the louver (shade) system proposed in this research paper is a mixed type louver (shade) in which four driveshafts control the length sequentially from the driveshaft adjacent to the sun through solar tracking to increase the area of the sun screen. Through this, the problem of damaging the view right was improved along with improving the shading and lighting efficiency of the louver (shade film) compared to the prior technology. In particular, performance evaluation proved that energy reduction of 35.7% to 49.7% compared to prior technologies is possible. In the paper, this study states that this study is significant because it proposes a new louver concept that can improve shading and daylighting efficiency by reviewing conventional louver technologies and validating their effectiveness through performance evaluation. However, another limitation of this study is stated in the paper that there is a lack of technical review to assess the economics of the proposed technology, and further research will improve the limitations of this study. This indicates that the research team of undergraduates majoring in space design at Sangmyung University recognizes the limitations of their paper and is working to improve them. As a result, it can be seen that Sangmyung University’s Department of Space Design is constantly facing limitations and striving to move in a better direction. Development of a Solar Tracking-Based Movable Louver System to Save Lighting Energy and Create a Comfortable Light Environment Interview of research team of undergraduate students majoring in space design at Sangmyung University Lee Hae-woo, a professor of the Department of Space Design at Sangmyung University, said, “We are doing our best to develop undergraduates’ research capabilities through various educational and research infrastructures.” Jung Soo-yeon, 4th grade at Sangmyung University’s Department of Space Design, the first author of the paper 'Development of a Solar Tracking-Based Moving Louver System to Save Lighting Energy and Create a Compatible Light Environment’, said, “There were many difficulties in conducting the research, but we were able to achieve good results with generous encouragement and guidance from our advisor.” She also said, “It was an opportunity to grow further through the valuable experience of solving problems.” Department of Space Design at Sangmyung University The slogan of the Department of Space Design at Sangmyung University is “Design education for creative interior design leader with globalization.” The Department of Space Design at Sangmyung University is the first four-year university in Korea in interior design, and has won more than 50 contests every year, including the grand prize, and has recently established its position in research. In particular, the Department of Space Design at Sangmyung University allows undergraduates to focus on research in various major fields through education that solves problems occurring in the surrounding environment by converging them with various academic fields. Education system of the Department of Space Design at Sangmyung University The Department of Space Design at Sangmyung University understands the impact of the indoor environment on humans from various perspectives and establishes an educational system that actively responds to the needs of design personnel in the future society that is diversifying, converging, and informationizing. 제 17 호 Sangmyung University's Cultural Art Management Major Students Were Selected for the Local Cultural Asset Content Develop
Kicker: SM NEWS Sangmyung University's Cultural Art Management Major Students Were Selected for the Local Cultural Asset Content Development Project By Yun-Seo Jung, Reporter yysj1230@naver.com A team ‘Gongbaek’ consisting of graduates and undergraduates majoring in Cultural Arts Management at Sangmyung University was selected as a citizen-proposed independent contents development and support project. This project is a cultural independent content created by Cheonan citizens themselves, and it is a project to develop contents that combine the two by utilizing Cheonan's cultural resources. The team ‘Gongbaek’ recreated the Standing Stone Buddha statue of Jangsan-ri Cheonan, a local cultural property, a trouble solving whiz* ‘Kopakdosa.’ And, they made various culture contents by utilizing this character. Then, what is the association between the Standing Stone Buddha statue of Jangsan-ri and ‘Kopakdosa?’ * whiz : a person who is good at something What Is the Standing Stone Buddha Statue of Jangsan-ri? Standing Stone Buddha statue in Jangsan-ri In order to understand their connection, it is necessary to learn about the Standing Stone Buddha statue in Jangsan-ri. It is located in the village of Jangsan-ri, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, and is a standing Buddha statue made of granite on a square pedestal. The head with a topknot hair is larger than the body and narrow shoulders. His comfortable face is full of mercy, and his nose was damaged by shamanistic customs. The badly harmed nose and eyes were repaired with cement. There are three wrinkles on the neck, three degrees(三道)*, and a knot of underwear can be seen in front of the stomach. The hands are gathered in front of the stomach and the thumbs of both hands are touch each other. The front and left and right sides of the pedestal of the Buddha statue are engraved with letters.Judging from the antique style, it seems to be from the early Goryeo. *Three degrees(三道) : A Buddhism term for a three-step process performed by a person who believes in Buddhism or Bodhisattva - Gyeondo(見道), Sudo(修道), Muhakdo(無學道) Who Is Kopakdosa? Particularly, it is important to focus on shamanistic customs related to the nose of the Buddha statue. Its custom is that 'You can have a son if you grind and drink its nose.' Therefore, it has played a symbolic role in solving the problem of wanting to have a son as much as the nose was severely damaged by the shamanist custom of "grinding its nose."Using these characteristics of cultural property, team ‘Gongbaek’ recreated the Buddha as a figure who can solve the problems of modern society. Therefore, they implemented various content development projects by developing a character called ‘Kopakdosa,’ which emphasized the symbolism of 'solution of worries' and 'nose.' They also produced an Instagramtoon through their Instagram accounts or practiced a problem-solving program using Instagram's Q&A function. It was divided into three episodes, with the story that ‘Kopakdosa,’ the representative character of the team, listens to the story of a student who is worried about getting a job and solves the problem. In the last episode, it gave warm comfort to the content viewers by advising their mindset when solving their problems. The problem-solving program through Instagram Q&A, was conducted anonymously on various concerns such as study, career, and personality in the form a Kakao talk conversation between the questioner and Kopakdosa. Besides, various activities were carried out to promote the Standing Stone Buddha in Jangsan-ri, including the Comin Record Group and goods. instagram @gong_baek_ As a result, after being selected for the project, team 'Gongbaek' received the highest score in the evaluation of the performance results and was re-selected for 'the Cultural Citizen Proposal Independent Content Development Advancement Support Project.' They characterized a little-known regional cultural property and introduced it using familiar and interesting contents. Through this, it can be seen that the Gongbaek team's ability to create an opportunity for people to get closer to precious cultural resources in the region that people were not usually interested in is great.
